Berri swimmer Tim Trewren won 5 gold, 4 silver and a bronze medal in freestyle and backstroke events at the State Country Championships held at Loxton.
Held in extremely hot conditions some modifications were necessary to the program to comply with Swimming SA policy but the event with 400 competitors from across SA taking part was still declared a success by officials.
Tim Trewren’s medal haul was an improvement on his effort at the 2015 titles held in Mount Gambier when he won 2 gold, 5 silver and bronze.

Other medal winners at Loxton included Renmark pair Jordan Wright, with 2 gold in freestyle, a silver in butterfly and bronze in backstroke and Clint Bambrick 3 silver and 2 bronze in breaststroke.

Berri’s Brock Verrall won a silver and bronze in butterfly events, Loxton’s Hannah Kroemer a silver in breaststroke and Rhys Jennings a bronze in breaststroke.
