Waikerie won a close match against Loxton in Division One tennis on Saturday 7 sets 68 games to 5-58.
Glancing through the results a crucial result was the win by Waikerie`s Penny Kroehn and Ashleigh Smith in one set against Nadia Kruger and Ainslie Graetz 7-5.
The Waikerie pair won the second set 6-0.
The men`s doubles were shared Steven Braun/Ben Haynes beating Phil Smith/Brendan Cockshell 6-2 and 6-4 for Waikerie but Loxton’s Dale Stirling/Scott Gillett winning over Craig and Joel Griffiths 6-4 and 6-4.
The singles were also shared 3-3 including Steven Braun defeating Phil Smith at top position 9-4.
The other two matches were won comfortably by Cobdogla over Barmera and Renmark against Berri View with some obvious ‘absentees’ effecting some teams.
Cobdogla won five of the doubles sets in its 10-74 to 2-38 result over Barmera with the exception Rob Smyth and Justin Bannear grabbing a set from Ben Rogers and Sam Butterworth 6-2.
The Cobdogla pair evened the score in the singles however, Ben Rogers beating Rob Smyth 9-5 and Sam Butterworth – Justin Bannear 9-3.
Looking at the details of the 10-83 to 2-49 win by Renmark Tintra against Berri View Renmark won all of the doubles sets including Tianna Adamczyk and Romana Luethke defeating Marnie Stewart and Emma Cuteri 7-6 and 7-5.
In the singles Marnie Stewart Stewart won for Berri View 6-4 against Tianna Adamczyk and at number one men`s spot David Strongman defeated Adam Drogemuller 9-3 and at number two John Van Der Hoek won 9-5 over Sy Samba.
Berri View`s other victory came in a thriller with Drew Nelsson just edging out Adam Giles 9-8.
