The Riverland Superdogs travelled to Adelaide to play Easts on Sunday and unfortunately lost  a relatively close encounter.
The game started off evenly and the Superdogs were right in amongst it for the first half despite losing on baller Darren Tieste who was stretchered off with a knee injury.
Solid contributions from Scott Watson and Deano Romeo saw the Superdogs continue to stay in touch with East’s through the the first half while Ben Muerett again performed well in defence alongside Rick “Haystack” Frahn who repelled many forward advances by the opposition.
At three quarter time there was only a goal separating the two teams but unfortunately the combination of a strong defence line and some healthy running play by East’s, the Superdogs couldn’t quite fight back to put their nose in front at the final siren going down by 28 points.
The next game is in a fortnight’s time at the Lyrup oval against Woodville South who are new comers to the competition playing their first season in Master Football.
Training continues on Wednesday nights at the Lyrup oval from 6.30, for more information contact Doc at Riverland Premier Sports in Berri.
