Billed as the A/B grade ‘game of the day’ the Loxton A against Cobdogla clash did not disappoint with an entertaining contest going to Loxton eight runs to six.
In another exciting match Cobdogla Blue scored its first win for the season when it defeated Berri 14-8. Berri`s Austin Karpany produced a four bagger on the way to his team leading 8-4 going into the final innings but aided by some costly errors in the field by Berri Cobdogla Blue came from the clouds with a 10 run dig to create the upset result. Gloria Dyer, Jesse Passmore and Wendy Leckie starred for the winner.
In the other A/B game Renmark (Amy Selfe, Cindy Le, Tarnia Walker) 16 won against Loxton (Michelle Bradtke, Kathy Johnson, Hayley Watkins) 7.
In C Grade Renmark (Kaleyla Robertson, Gemma Letton, Hamish McDonald) beat Loxton Green (Cody Hammerstein, Chernoa Morrow, Kristen Bradtke) 21-4, Waikerie (Bobby-Jean Taylor, Adam Weir, Tayla Van Dam) beat Loxton (Tracy Steicke, Kerry Hopper, Gretal Pumpa) 24-4 and Berri defeated Cobdogla 20-10. Berri`s best were widespread while the standouts for Cobdogla were Jasmin Mulvey, Jo Mulvey and Brookelyn Roberts.
In Primary Grade Berri 18 won against Loxton 9, Waikerie and Monash drew 10-10 and Renmark Blue defeated Renmark White 15-11. Best for a Berri were Minna Taylor, Emily Clarke, Caigan Heinrich and for Loxton Noah Paull, Jonah Wooldridge and Delta Venning, for Waikerie Casey, Riley and Bradley and for Monash Harrison Smith, Seth Martin and Alannah Corman. In the all Renmark game Lochlan O`Brien, Eleni Tzanos and Hannah Brown did best for Blue and officials gave White an ‘all played well’ rating.
