The Riverland Soccer Association will hold its annual Presentation Dinner at the Renmark Club on Saturday 20th September.
Talking to the RSA Publicity Officer Patty Fournaros Carney she felt the winner of the A grade Best and Fairest award will probably come from the top sides Barmera United No 1 or Renmark Olympic No 1.
From the Pelicans she considered Martin Barber, Sam Atkins and young James Wallace and from Olympic Hari Sahota and Kyle Collinson amongst the main chances for the award.
But other teams cannot be ignored as often players from these sides have surprised when votes were counted.
Patty looked at Steve Atkinson’s splendid form for Berri River Rangers before he injured an ankle and amongst his team mates the excellent season from young Dylan Eleftheriadis and Alex Garafoulis.
For Loxton Jack Zucchi and Mo Ali Hussaini have been the stand outs with a red card ruling out another star in Geordie Franks.
For Barmera No 2 Kosta Zois and Josh Ekisa warrant consideration and from Renmark No 2 Mahmood Rahami and Aman Moshemi are the same.
In the Open Women`s grade Berri`s Stacey Geyer looms as a hot favourite for the award although in such a dominant side Marnie Stewart, Ebony Hoffmann and Alyssa Knight can be expected to also grab votes.
Renmark`s Angela Pavlomanolakos may be runner up to Stacey Geyer after a great season while Rhianne Williams should also feature in voting.
From Loxton Cody Hammerstein was prominent up until the time she injured an ankle while Chelsea McPherson and Haylee Symens have been consistent and for Barmera Steph Karagiannis and Hannah Jepson should gain votes.
