With core values of Respect, Health, Enjoyment, Belonging and Achievement the 12 month old Riverland Triathlon Club already has 20 members.

Young member Luke Sharrad is part of the sport’s Junior Development Squad.

The Club is planning some Members Only Training Days to be held adjacent to the Yacht Club at Lake Bonney for 9 am on Sundays 18th October, 29th November and 27th March 2016.

Also a ‘Come’N’Try’ Day open to the public will be held on Sunday 20th December at the same venue.

The RTC “Rose “Run” is set down for Sunday 25th October. Registrations are due by 9 am with the run to start at 9-30 from the shelter shed opposite the Renmark Hotel. There are 5 km and 10 km runs available with part proceeds from the day to go to the Riverland Domestic Violence Service. Entries cost $20 at http://www.riverlandtriathlon.com.au.

Also more volunteers are required for the day to act as marshalls, direct runners or simply cheer them on for up to 1.5 hours.

The Triathlon Australia annual membership costs $125 plus the Riverland Triathlon Club annual subscription, one of the lowest, of $30. The RTC is hoping to encourage people to take advantage of the insurance which includes public liaiblity and personal accident insurance cover while they are competing in sanctioned events or training for sanctioned events during the course of their membership. Many events are less expensive for club members.

The RTC is registered with Sports Vouchers an initiative of the SA Government. This gives $50 off club frees for primary school aged children.

There is RTC Club Clothing including polo shirts and running tops with the club logo.
