After three days of golf from Friday to Sunday in turn at the Loxton, Red Cliffs and Mildura courses in the 2015 Rivertowns tournament Red Cliffs finished on top of the Top Ten Shield table with 1065 points followed by Loxton 962 and Mildura 849.

In a 54 Hole competition Loxton’s Jenny Patching was the B Grade Ladies winner. Clint Egar (Red Cliffs) won the Men’s A Grade and Jill Gleeson (Red Cliffs) took out the A Grade Women’s event.

Loxton players did well in a 36 hole competition. Steve Patching won the Men’s B Grade with his clubmate Andrew Giles the runner up. Dean Peberdy took out the Men’s C Grade. The Men’s A Grade winner was Mildura’s Paul White and another Mildura player Marg McGlashen won the A Grade Ladies.

In a Teams Event Red Cliffs dominated with Andrew Bateman and Ben Watson combining to win from clubmates Clint Egar and Rod Stewart.

Riverland, Murray Lands, South East and Southern played a round robin competition at the Barmera Club over the weekend as part of the second  Golf SA Regional Pennant event. With eight regions involved it is reported that Riverland finished sixth after competing against some very talented players from across the State.
