With second placed Berri having a bye Renmark’s 62-44 win over Barmera, third, last Wednesday saw it break away to a handy 51 point lead at the head of the First Division Wednesday Pennant Bowls ladder.
For Renmark Jocie Cooper’s rink beat Sheila Lockwood 21-13, Betty Coombs won 20-18 against Carol Shugg and Sandy Schulz completed a clean sweep with a 21-13 victory over Gloria Burns.
Renmark RSL,4th, also won all rinks in defeating bottom placed Loxton 68-36. Maria Spano’s rink won 25-12 over Raelene Reichstein, J Curtis 22-14 from Bernie Mattner and Cathy Topperwein 21-10 from Lyn Kimber.
Lyrup found some form to defeat Waikerie narrowly 64-60.Barb Howe won 24-17 against Judy Strauss , Ros Smith also 24-17 from Lesley Burnett and Noreen Burns went down to Dawn Boehm 16-26.

Looking at Second Division Berri, top, drew with third ranked Loxton 57 all. L Blades lost 11-30 to H Grimsley, K Tanner won 20-14 against L Steicke and S Facci defeated J Badcock 26-13.
Barmera,4th, won 70-49 against Renmark RSL with K Brown winning 24-17 against N Dunstan, R Daelman 23 defeating D Van Dam 16 and J Cock – S Haines 23-16.
In the remaining game second ranked Loxton RSL defeated Waikerie 70-54.H Dreschler defeated H Mortimer 26-15, M Schutz beat J Gaeta 26-11 and J Smith 18 lost to M Carrera 18-28.

Third division leader Berri split the two rinks with Loxton ,5th, but with E Mason winning 23-12 from C Jenke and L Martin going down to M Campbell 14-20 won overall 37-32 while second placed Renmark did likewise against Loxton RSL.4th,winning 41-38 as J O’Loughlin lost to L Jolly 16-22 and M Lawton won 25-16 against L Wall.Barmera bottom upset Moorook ,3rd, 39-28. R Macro beat L Tschirpig 23-9 and S Holder lost to C Voigt 16-19.
