Who will win the premierships in A Grade Hockey in 2016 remains a million dollar question.

The situation in A Grade Women was not helped by yet another draw last Friday night.
Waikerie 2 could not be separated from Renmark 2. Waikerie impressed with its team game with its goals coming from Jax Isaacson and Justice Ebert but the brilliance of Juliet Mallinson with 2 goals and good play by Anna Petersen, Lauren Benda and Sharon Pendle evened the score.

On Saturday at Loxton the home side ran into an under strength Berri and won 5-0. Loxton worked on fine tuning for the finals but still found problems in finishing off around the goals. Tara Allister and Cheryl Burgemeister both scored 2 goals and Aimee Oxlade 1 with Burgemeister, Brianni Schaefer and Oxlade best.Brooke Kelly, Ada Walladge and Bailey Hibberd did best for Berri.

Loxton with 2 goals from its best player Sean Herbert and one each from Ryan Hentschke, Robin Schaefer and Karl Hennig won 5-1 from Berri (Jesse Passmore goal) in Men’s A Grade. Other good players for Loxton were Joel Hopper and veteran Hennig and the stand outs for Berri were Nathan Bradford, Dylan Couzner and Sam Walladge.

Waikerie 7 won from Renmark 2 with the score not a true indication of the competitive clash as Renmark had good patches against the premiership fancy. Nathan Schmidt, Jason Redemski (2 goals) and Nick Gogel were the best of a very impressive Waikerie outfit and Daniel Schmidt 2, Rowan Hope, Nick Hocking and Mitchell Rayner were others to bother the scorer. Nathan Woodrow, Allen Zahra and Martin Tucker were best for Renmark.

Waikerie had a comfortable victory in Women’s B Grade 5-0 against Renmark with Vicki Schmidt outstanding with 2 goals and Janine Grieger and Taliah Ebert playing well. Kelly Bolten, Tania Webber and Kylie Barton were Renmark’s best.
Evergreen Lorraine Mensforth was best for Berri along with Imogen Santos and Demi Dale as it defeated Loxton (Olivia Vivian, Michelle Hobby and Maddi Watkins) 3-1.
In B Men Dave Shaw, Tim Botten and Darren Haines led Renmark to a 2-0 win against Waikerie (Brenton Kroehn, Mitch Kleemann, Darren Brewer) and Loxton (Koby Villis, Daniel Quirke, Simon Bullock) beat Berri 2-1 where Ryan Vallelonga was the goal scorer.

Berri defeated Loxton 3-0 in Under 18 Women with Charlotte Dominic scoring 2 goals in Berri’s ‘All Played well’ performance. Jordan Schaefer, Suzie Stivahtaris and Brianna Schaefer played well for Loxton.
The other game was a tight affair with Waikerie (Emma Taylor, Trinity Schmidt, Jess Dolphin) just edging out Renmark (Charlee Webb, Maggie Glekas, Sarah James) 2-1.
Jayden Bruce scored 2 goals and Joel Woodrow, Nathan Woodrow and Allen Dowling were named best as Renmark beat Waikerie 3-1 in Under 18 Men. Waikerie was best served by Riley Hollamby, Nick Hocking and Nathan Schmidt.
Loxton had all separate scorers as it won 5-2 against Berri (Jake Millar, Stuart Walladge, Caigan Heinrich). Cody Lambert, Tim Doecke and Zac Wagenknacht were outstanding for Loxton.

Waikerie teams achieved a double header of victories in Under 15 Men. Reilly Hollamby was outstanding with 4 goals and Kyton Rayner and Carlo Mitolo solid in support as Waikerie 6 defeated Renmark (Allen Zahra, Ben Kaye, Jackson Webb) 1 and Waikerie White (Aden Hocking, Nathan Schmidt, Lucas Hocking) won 3-0 from Loxton (Hamish McDonald, Corey Knoblauch, Liam Abraham).

To Under 12 Mixed Kyton Rayner scored all 3 goals and Aaliyan Loffler, Zali Schiller and Allanah Matulick also starred as Waikerie White won 3-1 against a Loxton side that put in a strong team effort and had Syd Grummett the goal scorer.
Renmark (Harrison Cooper, Declan Smart, Latesha Harrison) won an extremely close contest against Waikerie Black (Natalia Hocking, Cody Thiele, Ella Hocking) 1-0.
