Despite the extremely hot conditions Pinnaroo and Border completed the last of its minor round matches last Saturday.

As the result of an outright victory by Pinnaroo over Perponda and a loss by Murrayville against Parrakie Pinnaroo jumped into the final four with Murrayville dropping out.

This weekend 7th and 8th March at 1pm top side Parilla will play Pinnaroo (4th) at Parilla and Parrakie (2nd) will meet Lameroo (3rd) in the semi finals.

Over the past fortnight Pinnaroo 6 for 290 and 1 for 56 defeated Perponda 113 and 225 outright. The best batting in the match came from Sunny Vogt 96, T Hawhorne 57, R Bullard 45 and 75, R Tiller 33, J Lebas 26 and bowling from S Kirkbright 4 for 32 (including a hattrick), I Fischer 4/50, R Tiller 3/52, Bullard 2/57, M Tyler 2/40 and R Hawthorne 2/27.

Parrakie 9 for 115 and 168 beat Murrayville 104 and 1 for 50. The best batsmen were M Benham 55, Haydon Thorpe 55, Darcy Crane 30, N Barrett 31 and R Watson 29. Completing a fine allround performance Benham captured 5 for 47, B Kielow took 4/35, J Willersdorf 4/19, J Venning 5/16 and 3/37 and R Crane 3/22.

Parilla 9 for 278 and 2 for 132 defeated Lameroo 151. D Kerber scored 109, J Ridgeway 62, R Kerber 57, N Dabinett 35, S Dabinett 25 and 35, K Benham 27 and D Philbey 24. With the ball J Ridgeway took 5 for 42, N Dabinett 3/29, C Altus 2/75.

In the Colts competition Murrayville 4 for 159 and 4 for 67 defeated Parrakie 9 for 94. The game`s best batsmen were B Kielow 52, R Watson 25 and 28, L Parker 25, and R Lewis 20. The outstanding bowlers were B Kielow 4 for 12, R Lewis 4/14, and  Henderson 2/15. Parilla 6 for 156 beat Lameroo 39 and 7 for 19. S Dabinett made 53, S Hannam 50 and W Werner 12 while with the ball W Werner captured 4 for 28, S Dabinett 3/7 and 3/5, S Hannam 3/10 and Charlie Hay 2/4.

The final points were Murrayville 65, Parilla 60, Parrakie 46, Pinnaroo 38 and Lameroo 15. In the Semi Final 7th and 8th March starting at 8-30am Parilla will play Parrakie at Parilla.
