Minor premier Peake booked another meeting with Border Downs Tintinara to decide the A Grade premiership in the Mallee Football League when it clearly outpointed Pinnaroo in Saturday’s Preliminary Final. Peake will play the Grand Final on its home deck.
The quarter by quarter scores in the Preliminary Final confirm Peake’s dominance over a disappointing Pinnaroo. 5.2 to 1.3 at break one, 7.3 to 2.4 at break two, 8.8 to 2.4 at the last change and 13.12 (90) to 3.4 (22) at the final siren. Peake had many fine contributors including Lachie Wilson, the ‘boss’ Matt Whitford, Allistair Mills, Nick Gregurke, Jake Niven ( in subduing Pinnaroo key play maker Micah Vanloon) and Gabe Phillips with 3 goals. Alex Keough, Nick Hyde and N Lang did best for Pinnaroo.
A thriller was predicted but Peake did not allow it to develop.
What will BDT against Peake produce?
