After a round of two day matches concluded in the hot conditions on Saturday the A Grade premiership ladder in Pinnaroo and Border Cricket stood at Parrakie 96.45 and Parilla 84.20 points comfortably clear of Lameroo 56.83, Pinnaroo 51.43 and Murrayville 35.68.

In the Colts Parrakie is also on top 62.85 points, from Pinnaroo 48.25, Parilla 31.14, Lameroo 14.45 and Murrayville 9.19.

Season’s results show that a number of Colts players are having real busy Saturdays playing in their own competition and then following up with an A Grade match for their club later in the day.

In the last round Parrakie 1 for 148 defeated Pinnaroo 142. Pinnaroo forfeited the second day. For Parrakie T Sherman 57 not out and B Kielow headed the batting and N Barrett 4 for 15 and D Simon 3 for 2 destroyed the Pinnaroo (R Tiller 20) batting line up.

Parilla 7 for 283 with 107 from D Kerber, 84 fromB McNeilly and 29 not out from L Dabinett totalled 7 for 283 which was far beyond Murrayville 67. McNeilly capped off a fine allround effort with 4 for 7, F Nel took 3 for 8 and L Dabinett 3 for 23.

Parrakie, with T Sherman scoring his first half century for the day, 53, and W Barrett 52 amassed 1 for 254 defeating Pinnaroo 9 for 117. T Wurfel scored 47 and L Stephenson 2 for 3 and T Barrett 3 for 10 did the damage for Parrakie.

Parilla 6 for 156 (F Nel 42, H Hancock 23, H Neckmann 2 for 16) defeated Murrayville 82 (P Henderson 30, T Zerk 4 for 1, B Gilbertson 3 for 33).
