Craig Wooldridge continued to make rapid progress up the pecking order at the Loxton Golf Club producing a classy 73 off the stick for nett 68 to win yesterday’s Hand Built Homes Monthly Medal competition.
Wooldridge, the Loxton North Panthers coach in their superb 2015 RFL A Grade Grand Final win at Barmera Oval has taken the golf scene by storm in 2016.
Ironically yesterday the Panthers returned to Barmera for the first time since last season’s triumph and were handed out a lesson by Barmera Monash similar to what they delivered to Waikerie last year.

‘Wooly’ had no such problems as his long and accurate drives and sound approach shots resulted in birdies at the second and third holes for a 36 going out and then a 37 on the back nine. He narrowly missed an eagle and birdied three of the four par 5 holes.
The runner up was Andrew Giles with 85/69.

In the Women’s Monthly Medal new member Sue Pannell won the A Grade impressively with 94/78 and Cathy Arndt took out the B Grade with 96/70.

Loxton lost a Women’s Pennant match during the week to Waikerie 1 & 1/2 to 3 & 1/2.
