Riverland Soccer is to receive a tremendous boost as it prepares to commence its 2016 season.

For the first time a National Premier League match will come to the region with Adelaide United playing West Adelaide at Renmark Oval next Saturday, April 9th, at 3pm.

Speaking on 5RM’s ‘Sports Saturday’ program last weekend the CEO of the Football Federation of SA Mr Michael Carter said the event was an extension of the Regional Round Program that commenced in 2013.

Other centres visited include Whyalla, Roxby Downs and Mount Gambier.

The day at Renmark will be fully catered.
Curtain raisers will also give the local association the opportunity to showcase its playing talent. At noon a Riverland Select side will meet National Training Centre and at 1-45pm the champion Riverland team will play West Adelaide in an Under 12 game.

Admission to the event is $10 Adult, $5 concession and Under 16 free.

RSA Officials are urging fans to PREPURCHASE tickets as a large crowd is expected and there is a propoal to introduce a special express entrance lane for ticket holders to ease congestion.

This policy works ideally at Coopers Stadium in Adelaide.
