Kingston On Murray`s Don Juers, the president of the SA Drug Free Powerlifting Association, has announced that the National Drug Free Championships will be hosted at the Function Room of the Renmark Hotel on Saturday July 13th.
The tournament starts at 10am and spectators will be welcomed free of charge to watch both male and female lifters involved in squat, benchpress and deadlift competitions.
Riverland lifters to take part in the event will be Barmera`s Rose Gow, Winkie`s Cheryl Rapson and Renmark pair Chris Siviour and Carrado Angeletti while Adelaide`s Dean Jenkinson and Aaron McFarlane will also represent SA.
In all over 20 lifters will be in Renmark for the event including visitors from Queensland, NSW and Victoria and Don Juers is confident that the event will see new world records established with local Rose Gow a real chance of being involved.
On the Friday night prior to the tournament the National Annual General Meeting of Drug Free Powerlifting Australia will be held.
