The Two Day Blanchetown Championships next weekend, 20th and 21st July, has attracted competitors from the South East and from West Australia and Northern Territory.
Meanwhile there is frantic activity around the club as volunteers work to have the venue ready for not only the championships but also for the opening of new clubrooms on Saturday.
No more huddling around the canteen to chat as there is now a modern all purpose building with front and back verandahs for everyone to enjoy.
This Blanchetown event will also serve as round one of the inaugural “King Of The River” Riverland Championships as the four local clubs combine for an exciting new concept.
While Blanchetown, Morgan, Loxton and Renmark will in turn decide their own individual champions points will also accrue across the four meetings to decide the overall Riverland champion.
