Don Juers of Kingston On Murray, the President of both the South Australian and National Drug Free Powerlifting organisations, had his 80th birthday this month.
Don, after being a long term competitor in the sport, chose reluctantly to ‘retire’ some five years ago because of health issues.
But things have changed.

Powerlifting SA will present the Australian Drug Free Powerlifting Federation’s National Single Lift Championships at the Renmark Hotel on Saturday August 13th.
The event commences at 10am.

Barmera’s ‘Pocket Rocket’ Rose Gow, a former Australian representative, is training hard for rhe tournament with plans to attack records in all of her lifts.

Because International referees will be officiating and there will be drug testing competitors can set new National and World records.

Also competing and training hard will be another local intent on breaking world records in the Bench Press for his age division.

His name Mr Don Juers, 80, of Kingston On Murray in comeback mode.
