Starting last Wednesday it has been wall to wall golf at Berri. The Berri Caravan Classic was conducted over Wednesday and Thursday with the Men`s Division on Wednesday won by Brian Smith with 37 stableford points from runner up Gordon Johnson 36 followed on 35 by John Penna, Brian Martin and Derek Howes. The Ladies winner was Glenys Mack with 37 points ahead of Lyn Smith 36 and Lenore Martin 34.
On Thursday the Men`s Division went to Paul Wenman, 39 points, Neville Wait was runner up on 36 and John Penna third with his second 35 in a row.
That left John Penna as the two day overall winner.The winner of the Ladies Division was Maralyn Wildy on a countback from Wendy Hocevar and Sue Gore all with 36 points with Kay Tanner on 34.
The Men`s Foursomes Championship was held on Saturday. Richard Keightley and Ryan Dale won with 124 gross and runners up were Ryan Swanbury and Rob Day with 127. The Handicap winners were Stephen Wade and Paul Cummins 117.4 and runners up Peter Frahn and Ron Nagy 119.5. The winners of the Ladies Foursomes were Trish Vogel and Lyn Smith 145 gross and runners up Ann Marie Knight and Wendy Hocevar 146.
Sunday was a Medal Round. Garry Kellaway won with nett 71 with Kelvin LeStrange second on a countback from Jim Rosenthal and Darin Rodden 72.
