When we took a break from local hockey for the Junior Zonal Championships we took a break from one of the most unpredictable seasons for some time.

The likely premiers in the A grade competitions are well hidden.

In the last round in A Men Berri scored an upset win over Renmark 2-1 with Beau Delaine scoring the two goals for the winner. Renmark had been running into good form but the efforts of Berri players like Anthony Segui, Bode Bayliss and Mark Halliday brought it down. Best for Renmark were Nigel Stoeckel, Callum Benda and James Hutchins. In the other game Loxton with Jimmy Lange, Steve Trezise and Robin Schaefer with two goals starring defeated Waikerie (Jason Redemski, Rohan Kleemann, Austin Hollamby) 4-2 in a quality contest.

In the Women`s A grade Berri, after its explosive start to 2014, felt more pain when it went down 10-1 to a rampant Renmark. Renmark had a host of contributors as the score suggests but non better than Chloe Weigall and, both with three goals, Anna Peterson and Juliet Mallinson. For Berri Kira McMahon, Emma Cuteri and Charlotte Dominic did best. Loxton defeated Waikerie 2-0 in the other game, a tight contest. Louise Paschke, Suzie Stivahtaris and Cheryl Burgemeister were best for Loxton and Ashleigh Baker, Sheree loffler and Miriam Kroehn for Waikerie.
