As part of Bowls SA Strategic Plan it will combine with Bowls Riverland to hold a special Volunteers Day at the Loxton Bowling Club on Thursday 13th November.
It is proposed to make this an annual event to recognise dedicated volunteers in the sport throughout the State.
The day at Loxton is from 9-30 am for a strict 10am start and the guest speaker will be Stewart McCully a former Glenelg SANFL footballer for 126 games and the holder of a Bachelor of Education in PE.
Bowls Sa recognises that volunteers are the heart and soul of its operations within the bowls fraternity.
Each Riverland Club will be issued with eight tickets to the event so that they can say thank you to their volunteers, board members and other personnel who give their time to keep their club operating.
