Back in the winners’ circle this week in Triples Bowls Berri’s 87-73 win over fifth placed Waikerie sent it 46 points clear at the top of the ladder.

The game was competitive however despite positions on the table with rinks shared 2-2. D Treloar won 24-15 over B Burnett, G Elleway lost to G Pursche 16-23, A Gapco defeated N Harcombe 25-11 and L Recchia went down to D. Morley 22-24.

Loxton, second, had a handy win over third ranked Renmark 79-70 with the teams now on 136 and 114 points. T Thurston won 20-13 against M Walker, T Schulz lost to W Dopson 11-27, H Appleton beat P Amos 25-13 and D Schliebs defeated M Howe 23-17.

Renmark RSL, fourth, defeated Barmera, sixth, 78-61. R Adam 21 defeated J Gartner 12, M Inglis 21 defeated B Tamblyn 15, D Ludas lost to G Jenke 10-21 and T Dowzard beat P van Enkhuyzen 24-13.

There were some surprise results in Second Division.

Barmera (D Button 22, H Robinson 19, R Cahill 17, I Lloyde 24), 5th, defeated Renmark (R Minge 14, M Lacey 19, W Cropper 9, R Andt 29) ,2nd, 82-71, and Loxton White (P Vaughan 38, J Draper 20, G Wachtel 18, D McRae Wood 22) ,10th, won 98-69 from Berri Red (L Seltitzas 11, P Raams  23, A Kosturjak 15, J Cresp 20) ,4th.

Loxton Blue with M Williss beating R Grosser 25-18, D Thomson defeated by L Knight 15-19, R Braddock losing to K Carpenter 20-25 and D Kimber sealing the deal with a 33-13 win against J Centofanti won 93-75 against Berri Blue. Top side Renmark RSL won its seventh game out of eight in defeating Lyrup 75-65. M Hudson lost 15-21 against N Leach, D Wilson went down to D Wainwright 13-15, D Rice won 22-10 against J Jungfer and M Curtis 25-19 against M Moulden. Loxton RSL ( K Ward 13, T Wurst 25, T Harrison 16, E Schutz 30) won 84-77 from Monash ( I Potts 23, I Radosevic 16, K Ruediger 22, B John 16).
