Berri Warriors look in cherry ripe form for an assault on yet another A Grade Baseball premiership after convincingly disposing of its main rival Renmark Angels last Friday night by 21 runs.

Berri was all over its opponent early with opening innings of 7 and 9 to virtually finish the game. Jesse Fraser, Paul Reid, Dylan Christian, Nick Kuhn, Kris Taylor and Jesse Stemberger were all prominent in a very even and well drilled Warriors’ unit.

Angels’ fans had something to cheer about when an Aiden Prokopec Grand Slam inspired a seven run final innings but Renmark has a lot of work to do before seriously challenging for the title.

In B Grade a  strong start again by Berri saw it hold on to defeat Renmark by two runs.
