Over run in the final term by opponent Loxton North a week earlier it was the Barmera Monash Roos that did the front running throughout Saturday`s Second Semi Final against North at Waikerie to win in style 20-11 (131) to 14-5 (89).
The opening quarter gave little hint of what was to come, Barmera Monash 5-4 to Loxton North 5-0, but by half time the danger signs were up for the Panthers with the scores at 11-7 to 8.2. From there the Roos were always in control with a host of brilliant players including Aaron Dart, Mal Greenwood, Ryan Langcake with 4 goals, Jack Selfe, Steve Burton and Matt Leyson. North`s best were harder to find with Daniel Proud, Josh Voigt, Andrew Tullett and Scott Meneghetti doing best.
In a season where the top four teams have been so even it was a valuable ticket to the Grand Final for the Roos.
In other Second Semi Finals Waikerie,2nd, upset Renmark, top, 10-13 (73) to 6-3 (39) in the B Grade. Best for the Magpies were Daniel Pierce, Frank Twigden and Justin Dellazoppa and for the Rovers Aaron Gill, Brodie Redpath and Todd Bennett.
The Under 18 ticket to the Grand Final belongs to Barmera Monash after a surprisingly healthy win over Renmark 15-7 (97) to 6-2 (38). The young Roos were best served by Jesse Bannister (4 goals), Matthew Wutke and Brodie Fridd while best for Renmark were Dylan Sumner, Roley Boon and Brodie Roesler.
To the Under 15 Second Semi and Waikerie 14-6 (90) kept its undefeated 2014 intact as it accounted for Renmark 5-3 (33). The Magpies` best were Taran Brock, Dylan Hahn and Ryan Shaw and Rovers` joint captains Harrison Brown and Lachlan Lellmann along with Riley Arnold.
Berri also remained undefeated in the Under 13 grade with a 10-4 (64) to 4-1 (25) win against Waikerie.
