The Australian Country Hockey teams have a day off on their tour of Malaysia today and will have the opportunity to watch the Kookaburras in action.

The teams have played their last games in Melaka and perhaps the damaging hot and muggy conditions are taking their toll according to Women`s coach Brett Stokes.

The Women played Melaka and after leading two to nil at one stage drew three all. “After five games in a row we were unlucky that a short corner goal for Melaka after the final whistle brought the draw” said Brett “although it levelled the series it gave us the win overall on goals difference”.

“Berri`s Naomi Weatherald is still doing very well gaining more best player votes in each game with her strong and consistent play”.

“The Men lost 3-0 which again after six games in a row perhaps suggested some fatigue in the trying conditions”.

The teams have travelled to Ipoh and will catch up with the Kookaurras.
