Based on the topsy turvy  minor round results in 2014 the finals that start this weekend may be enough to send Tipsy Always back to his recent “accommodation”.

Last weekend in A Men Loxton defeated Berri 3-1 and Waikerie accounted for Renmark 6-1 while in A Women Loxton won a close game against Berri 3-2 and Renmark beat Waikerie 3-1.

In the Loxton – Berri Men`s clash Loxton had 5 individual goal scorers with its best players Steven Trezise, Ryan Hentschke and Zac Bartsch. Berri`s best were Beau Delaine, Anthony Segui and Jarryd Roberts. Best for Waikerie in its big win over Renmark were Alex Fulwood, Andrew Nitschke and with 3 goals Rowan Hope. For Renmark the stand outs were Troy Parker, Martin Tucker and Callum Benda.

In the Women`s matches Tara Allister scored two of her team`s goals with its best players named as Tracy Townsend with a sensational game in goals, Chantelle Adams and Jane Reid. Best for Berri were Charlotte Dominic, Jen Kiel and Emma Cuteri. In Renmark`s win over Waikerie Anna Peterson, Chloe Weigall and Danielle Weeks were best and for Waikerie Anna Kroehn, Janine Frost and Sheree Loffler did best.

Further illustrating just how even the season has been after the last minor round games in the Women`s A grade Loxton finished minor premier from Renmark and Berri all on 25 points but separated by percentage. Loxton`s one goal win over Berri in the last game saw it grab top position with Berri tumbling from first to third. Waikerie`s win over Renmark in the Men`s competition saw it wrest back the minor premiership from Loxton.

In the first week of finals at Glassey Park on Friday night in the knock out First Semi Finals at 7pm Berri meets Waikerie in the Women`s grade and at 8-40 in the Men`s grade Renmark meets Berri.

In a full day of finals at the Park on Saturday the two A grade games are Loxton versus Renmark in the Women at 5pm and at 6-30pm Waikerie plays Loxton in the Men.

Sort that lot out Tipsy.
